Please note that we do not accept gratuity. Trusting us with your hair is the best form of gratitude we could ask for.

Kris - Salon Owner (she/her) Color
Master Colorist specializing in salt & pepper gray hair transformations, global blonding, color correction, and complex color transformations. I also do standard color, balayage and highlighting services. I work with a full time assistant who does your blow dry, shampoo and toning which allows me to charge less.
I thrive on big change with all hair textures and find my greatest fulfillment helping women project strength and confidence through their appearance. I can’t wait to work with you!

My Specialty Services are priced at $250/hour. They can take as little as two hours or as many as 6 or more. It depends on the hair you arrive with, what condition it’s in and your end goal. If the change you want isn’t achievable in one visit I’ll let you know that during your consultation.
Specialty Services require a 1 hour, $100 pre-paid consultation on a day prior to the color session. Schedule a 1 hr consultation or call the salon and we’ll do it for you.
I prefer to do consultations in person so I can see your hair under ideal lighting and touch it to assess it’s integrity. That said, if you are coming from out of state or from a distant city and a separate trip for a consultation isn’t feasible, please call to schedule an online consultation.
Madison - Salon Owner (she/her) Cutting
I’m passionate about creating haircuts that make my clients see themselves in a way they haven’t before. I want you to look in the mirror and think “Ah, there I am.” I love to cut low maintenance styles and recommend that most of my clients book a 1.5 hr session every 6-8 months with a 30 min session in between.
In a consultation, I want to know what kind of cuts you like, but also how you want to feel and what you want your look to say about you. It took having a haircut experience like this myself to understand how impactful it can be. I love the variety of working with all ages, races and genders and have a soft spot for clients who have been overlooked or made to feel bad in salons in the past. Often times these are clients with so called “difficult” hair texture whether that be curls, high or very low density, or lots of cowlicks. I also find that some members of the queer and BIPOC communities have bad salon experiences in the past. If you’ve felt like that in salons, I’m your gal. I want to hear who you are and help you achieve your hair goals.

Hi, happy to introduce myself! My name is Carter, and I am the salon manager here at Keith Kristofer Salon. 3 weeks after graduating from Virginia Tech I moved here to Austin and I just seem to love it more each year. I’m here to help you book your appointments and get you set up for success at KK Salon. I love meeting all of you and helping to make your experience the best it can be. You’ll probably see me sitting in one of our comfy black chairs or walking around the salon.
I am a clothing designer here in Austin. I started a brand in January 2024 called Rockstars Never Die. RND combines my love for sustainability, music and art. All pieces are made from second hand materials, and are one of a kind “wearable art”. I love doing markets around the city as well as post my pieces on Instagram. My dream is to work with musicians and other artists all over the world to create pieces that really showcase the Rockstar they are.

My most important goal, for every single person that sits in my chair; is that they feel seen, heard, and leave feeling exceptional on the inside and out. Having my craft as my career makes me enthusiastic to be behind the chair every day. I strive to build trust and report with my guests, so that every experience is unique and personally tailored to you. I have a great love and finesse for pixies, fades, bobs, and edgy short cuts. However, I also love working with long lengths too! I enjoy heavily layered cuts and precision cutting.

Jace (he/him) Cutting
I specialize in cutting hair with a straight blade razor as well as dry cutting with scissors. The razor is an incredibly versatile tool that allows me to carve and sculpt with the natural grain and texture of your hair. Everything from tight solid lines to super soft melty layers all while staying super clean and not shred-y (unless that’s what you want)
I love creating shapes that look good with minimal effort and grow into something beautiful and different rather than growing out and feeling heavy and bulky in 6 weeks (I like my clients to go three to nine months between cuts). Shags, bobs, long layers, short layers, bangs, soft pixies and big curly shapes are some of my favorite looks to do.
I have two Himalayan Persian cats, Harper and Roxie, who are absolute angels. I enjoy low key hang outs with friends, playing pool, and the occasional drag show. I don’t have many hobbies besides haircutting and learning about haircutting. It’s kind of an obsession.

Originally from Austin , Jim moved to a career in hair cutting after a 20 year career in the Austin culinary scene. When he’s not in the salon he’s probably listening to a podcast and tending to his plant horde. He gravitates towards cuts that express a client’s personality through architectural shapes and bold moments, and loves working with curly and wavy hair. Curly cuts, precision bobs, gender affirming cuts, pixies- bring it all.

I am an Austin local with a passion for all things hair, makeup, and beauty! My favorite kinds of hair cuts are bold, edgy cuts that help embrace a sense of individuality. Whether it’s a textured shag, fierce mullet, or a gender-affirming style for my fellow queer friends. Hair color is another way to truly express who you are, I love to create vibrant creative color transformations and make blondes even blonder. I believe that hair should express your uniqueness and creativity and that everyone should love the way their hair looks. I specialize in creating hairstyles that embody 'rough luxury'—a blend of refined elegance with a natural, untamed edge. Using both straight blade razor and scissor techniques, I design looks that grow out beautifully and require less maintenance over time, allowing clients to feel effortlessly stylish.
When you look up the definition of 'creator,' it says, 'a person or thing that brings something into existence.' This is how I approach my craft. I truly live as a creator—bringing a personalized, organic shape to each individual’s unique face, texture, and style through both cutting and coloring techniques.
Beyond the salon, I am a mother first, to my 3-year-old son, Eno. He’s full of energy, loves superheroes, and is always up for an adventure. We spend our time together counting the turtles we see in Town Lake, or exploring the great outdoors. I am also deeply involved in the recovery community, where I’ve learned the importance of resilience, empathy, and non-judgment—values that guide me in both my work and personal life. These experiences shape the way I interact with my clients, ensuring that everyone who sits in my chair feels supported, comfortable, and welcome in a judgment-free space.

Originally from Miami, I was formally trained at Cutler Salon in New York City. I’ve worked with hair in New York, Austin and San Francisco. I excel at razor cutting, long styles, loose curls and natural lived in color. I am energized by your vision for how you want to be seen and will use my expertise to help you achieve a look that’s in sync with your style. I don’t currently do short barbered cuts.
When I’m not doing hair you can find me spending time with my daughter, husband and two dogs. I also loves the outdoors and movies.
